5th May, 2010 - 5% for Change

We believe that small things can make a big difference and that is why we have partnered with two of our most beloved Bali charities - BAWA (Bali Animal Welfare Organisation) and the Bali Orphanage.

From our May 28th retreat, we will be donating 5% of all our profits to these charities. The choice will be in the hands of our guests, who can choose where their 5% goes.

Both are great charities doing amazing work in the community, and we are proud to be able to do our bit to help them. As Margaret Mead says so well, 'Never doubt that a small group of people can create big change, in fact, that  is all that ever has'.

5th April, 2010 - Feast!

Food has always been something we have been incredibly passionate about and now we are thrilled to have formed a partnership with Therapeutic Chef and Nutritionist Samantha Gowing of Food Health Wealth.

Take a look at our exciting new Bali surf spa cuisine menu called 'FEAST!' that Sam has carefully crafted. With delectable dishes such as Citrus polenta pancakes with honey saffron yoghurt - or a spicy fish satay with a Balinese sambal, the ultimate Surf Haven Smoothie - the perfect pick-me-up after a long day on the board. Rich with coconut, local vanilla, banana, berries and a hint of ginger, and to top off a perfect day in paradise, our sticky black rice with coconut ice cream - mmmm!

With over 25 years experience in business Samantha, formerly an award winning restaurateur, learnt her most recent business lessons working in private practice as a Therapeutic Chef and Clinical Nutritionist, and at premiere retreats such as Gwinganna, in Queensland.
